NZB Dump Utility (nzbdump)
dump the contents of an NZB file in a user-friendly format
Nzbdump is a program for displaying the contents of an NZB file. It is not an downloader and does not download files to your PC. You'll need a newsgroup downloader or newsreader to do that. What nzbdump is though, is a diagnostic tool for displaying the contents of a NZB file. It's not terribly useful, but you might be able to use it to satisfy some curiousity that you have about the internals of an NZB file, or in case you are having difficulty with an NZB file and need to check it out. Many newsreaders (such as Android Newsgroup Downloader) include built-in NZB support.

The current version is 1.2, released 6-22-2006. This software runs under the Windows operating system (Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP). This software does NOT contain any adware or spyware. This software is distributed as a freeware application and is free for noncommercial use.

Many people are confused about what an NZB file is, how to use it, and how it relates to newsreaders and newsgroup downloaders. An NZB file is a small index file that contains a list of newsgroup posts in a server-independent format. The idea is that it takes a long time to download the full set of headers from a newsgroup (which may have many millions of headers). It's much quicker to use a service, such as newzbin, to search a newsgroup, create an NZB file, and download only the headers that you are interested in. You can then import these headers directly into your newsgroup/newsreader software (such as the popular Android Newsgroup Downloader) and download that are listed in the NZB file.
