alt.binaries.pictures is the subset of newsgroups that contains pictures such as gif, jpeg, jpg, bmp, pcx, and other image formats. Picture newsgroups can further be subdivided into those groups that contain adult material and those that do not. Groups containing adult material will usually start with the prefix "alt.binaries.pictures.erotica".

You can download pictures from newsgroups like the the alt.binaries.pictures newsgroups to your computer with a program such as binary vortex or quadsucker/news.
